10. Yuta Okkotsu returns

Yuta Okkotsu is one of Gojo’s former students and a special-grade jujutsu sorcerer. He is also the protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen 0, a prequel manga that tells his origin story. He has the ability to use Rika Orimoto, his childhood friend who died in an accident, as his cursed spirit.

He is also very loyal to Gojo and considers him his mentor and friend. In the Shibuya Incident arc, he returns from his overseas mission and confronts Yuji, who is still possessed by Sukuna. He declares that he will kill Yuji to avenge Gojo’s sealing and to prevent Sukuna’s revival.

9. Sukuna takes over Yuji’s body

Sukuna is the King of Curses and the main source of conflict in the series. He is a ruthless and arrogant being who cares only about himself and his own amusement. He is also very powerful, as he can use various cursed techniques such as fire, slashing, and healing.

He shares Yuji’s body and can take over it whenever Yuji loses consciousness or agrees to switch with him. In the Shibuya Incident arc, Sukuna takes over Yuji’s body after Yuji gets stabbed by Mahito. He then proceeds to massacre dozens of people and curse the area, including some of Yuji’s allies.

8. Yuji kills a human

Yuji has always been a kind and compassionate person who values human life and hates killing. He only fights against curses and tries to avoid harming humans as much as possible. However, in the Shibuya Incident arc, he is forced to kill a human for the first time. He does so to save Megumi from a sniper who was hired by the enemies to kill jujutsu sorcerers. Yuji shoots the sniper in the head with a gun and feels a surge of guilt and regret afterwards.

7. Geto Suguru is actually Noritoshi Kamo

Geto Suguru is one of Gojo’s former friends and classmates at Tokyo Jujutsu High School. He was once a kind and compassionate jujutsu sorcerer who wanted to protect innocent people from curses. However, after witnessing the death of his lover, Riko Amanai, he became disillusioned with the Jujutsu society and decided to join forces with Mahito and other curses. He also developed a cursed technique that allows him to control other curses and use them as weapons.

However, in a shocking twist, it is revealed that Geto Suguru is actually dead, and his body is being possessed by Noritoshi Kamo, a cursed user from the past who is also the ancestor of the Kamo clan, one of the three great families of jujutsu sorcerers.

6. Gojo gets sealed

Satoru Gojo is the teacher of Yuji, Nobara, and Megumi at Tokyo Jujutsu High School. He is also the strongest jujutsu sorcerer in the world, thanks to his Six Eyes and Limitless techniques that allow him to manipulate space and time. He is feared by both curses and humans alike, as he can easily defeat anyone who stands in his way.

However, in the Shibuya Incident arc, he gets sealed by a special tool called Prison Realm that was created by Geto Suguru, another main antagonist of the series and a former jujutsu sorcerer who betrayed his comrades.

5. Megumi unleashes his domain expansion

Megumi Fushiguro is another one of Yuji’s classmates and friends at Tokyo Jujutsu High School. He is a calm and stoic boy who uses shikigami, or summoned animals, as his weapons. He is also the heir of the Zenin clan, one of the three great families of jujutsu sorcerers. In his fight with Mahito, he unleashes his domain expansion for the first time: Chimera Shadow Garden. This is a technique that creates a dark space where Megumi can summon multiple shikigami at once and overwhelm his opponent.

4. Nobara dies

Nobara Kugisaki is one of Yuji’s classmates and friends at Tokyo Jujutsu High School. She is a confident and outspoken girl who uses nails and a hammer as her weapons. She is also very loyal to her friends and teammates, especially Yuji and Megumi Fushiguro. In his fight with Nanami, a former salaryman turned jujutsu sorcerer, he reveals his true form: a grotesque creature with multiple eyes, mouths, and limbs.

2. Yuji comes back to life

Fortunately, Yuji’s death is not permanent. He is revived by Sukuna, who makes a deal with him: if Yuji can regain control of his body after 10 seconds, he will let him live. Yuji manages to do so, and Gojo reveals that he killed him as a test to see if he could handle Sukuna’s power. Gojo then decides to enroll Yuji in the Tokyo Jujutsu High School and train him as a jujutsu sorcerer.

1. Yuji dies in the first episode

The first episode of the anime introduces us to Yuji, a cheerful and athletic boy who has a knack for helping others. When his friends are attacked by a curse, he swallows the finger to gain Sukuna’s power and save them. However, this also makes him a target for the jujutsu sorcerers, who want to kill him and collect all of Sukuna’s fingers. In a shocking twist, Yuji is killed by Satoru Gojo, the strongest jujutsu sorcerer, at the end of the first episode.
